Has it really been 8 months?

Yes, it has been almost 8 months since I've posted a blog. Even longer for Daniel. Though, I suppose it is my thing to do. Or something like that, right?

So...it seems like so much has happened and there are so many pics to share since my last update. My last update with photos was from a year or so ago. Ack...I'm a blogging slacker. Though I'm pretty sure anyone who reads this blog is also a facebook friend. I've had a decent amount of photo updates on there. Enough to satisfy, I suppose.

Let's see, since the last textual update from December...

-January, we found out we were expecting a new Norman on the 13th. I also walked on a frozen pond for the first time.
-February, Daniel celebrated his 30th birthday on the 10th.

-March, we announced the news to the world. I made Jezzy a "big sister" shirt.

-April, we visited Louisiana for Easter at the end of March til the beginning of April (lots of photos from that). We had a great time visiting with everyone. I never get to visit as much as I really want, but I would have to take a month long vacation to do that. It's getting trickier to get all of our little ones together for a pic too (the Bonnette, Hamilton, Norman, Falcon crew). Jezzy loved visiting with her Nana and Pappy. We can't wait for them to visit in little over a month!

-May, Jezzy had her first trip to the zoo. Lots of fun. Also, the zoo trip was her first all day, diaper-free outing. (before this, she still wore diapers for outings/night time) She did amazingly well, NO ACCIDENTS! YAY! :)
-June, Jezebel had her first sleepover. She spent the night with Auntie Tabbie (formerly known as Auntie Tiba, but Jezzy changed it to her liking). They had a "spa night" full of bath, facial, nail polish fun.
-July, Jezzy got to play with sparklers for the first time on the 4th. Trinity (Jess's 13yr old daughter) came to stay with us for a week. We went to the mountains, Boulder, here and there. Jezzy saw what she proclaimed to be a "reeeeal rainbow! a reeeeal raaaainbow! a reeeal raaaaaaainboooow!!!" Lots of fun. Jez sang her whole ABC's for the first time on July 25th. Super cute :) I had my 29th birthday with a fancy cake from Daniel.

-August, Jez got to ride carnival rides for the very first time. She is exactly 36" tall! She was such a big girl riding the kiddie rides all by herself. She had lots of fun.
...and that brings us to right now. This moment. I have a little over a month until our new Norman baby arrives. We've kept the sex a surprise....so we'll get that classic hospital moment of "it's a ....!" We're pretty excited. I'm sure not knowing is driving a few people crazy (ie, my mom). Oh yeah, Jezebel is fully potty trained, which is so awesome. :)

Daniel bought me a new camera as a late birthday, early Christmas...haha "push present". (The idea of a "push present" is pretty silly. I know some ladies get all worked up about it. Isn't coming home with a beautiful new baby present enough?) I've only had it a couple days, so I'm still learning. It's an Olympus E-PL1. It's kinda like if a nice DSLR and a fancy point&shoot hooked up and had a baby...this would be it.
Bleh, Jez broke my laptop. :( She knocked it off the counter on my birthday while I was at work. Funny thing, I got the laptop for my previous birthday. The year warranty was up, but I doubt it would have covered the broken screen anyway. Luckily, everything else works. So, we were able to turn it on and retrieve all important data from the laptop via networking with the desktop. I was also able to rearrange a few things to make sure they were shared between the 2 computers by hooking it up with the tv as my monitor, running it in safe mode (wouldn't work otherwise) and pulling other stuff to the shared folders. We'll fix the screen eventually. It's kind of back burner right now since we have a fully functional desktop. *shrug* No worries.

Life is just cruising along. I'm just trying to enjoy the ride. Occasionally I remind myself that the ride (or journey) is what life is about. If I spend too much time focusing on what I'm waiting for, what's coming next, what I'm planning for the next month, year, etc., I forget that I should be enjoying all of the small "now" moments.

I guess that's about it. I'm sure my next big update will be announcing the birth of our new baby Norman! :)
