Luckily, neither of us have to work tomorrow. Of course, I probably could find a sub job....but I've already made plans for tomorrow. Daniel and I will be sorting our closet. Yay! I have so many stinking clothes in there. Most are from pre-prego, some are fatty mcmaternity clothes, and others are newer stuff that I actually wear. I only wear about ah... 8% of my clothes. ...maybe 9% :) Anyway, it's ridiculous. Yeah, so that's the plan for tomorrow. I also need to put away Jezebel's clothes. I'm terrible about that. They usually sit in her basket for weeks. I just pull her wardrobe from the basket. Sure, there's no problem with that, but I know I feel much better when they're all put away. Her room seems bigger and neater without that basket of clothes.
Speaking of clothes, I still need to sort through her clothes. It's getting time to put away the smaller clothes and also the summery ones...which she'll never wear again. Daniel and I are planning on visiting the consignment shop tomorrow to drop off our sorted clothes and hers as well. So, hopefully they'll take some of our stuff. If not, there's a thrift store next door that will take the donations. I really intended to send some of the clothes to some new babies, but now they're too big for some of them. I should probably still send some of the ones that will fit.
I need a paragraph about procrastination now. So, I've had all of these projects that I've been trying to complete. I keep getting side-tracked and starting something new...or just vegging out playing Fable II. Ah, video games. Anyway, I've been trying to get these gifts out to new babies, who aren't so brand-new anymore. I feel bad about not completing the gifts and sending them. I want to just finish and mail them, but then I start thinking about how it's taken so long, that I should send something else along with it. That something else never comes along, and the original project doesn't get finished because I'm waiting for that something else, and then I just feel bad all over again. I just need to convince myself that the one gift I am making will be plenty and that I don't need to include other gifts to make up for lost time. Still trying to convince myself. Bleh. Then I start thinking, well, I'm visiting Louisiana in November, so I can just save on shipping and hand deliver the goods. Then I start thinking again...that it's been so long and the gifts are way overdue that I should include something else along with those gifts. Ah, the vicious cycle. To quote myself "I just need to convince myself that the one gift I am making will be plenty and that I don't need to include other gifts to make up for lost time." Again, still trying to convince myself.
Technically, it's the 27th now. My sweet baby will be 11 months old tomorrow! That's just crazy. There's only one month until her birthday. We still have so much to do before then. We'll be in Louisiana in one short month. I'm so excited to see everyone. :) Again, we still have soooo much to do. I still need to finish my projects....but first, I need to handle Halloween. :) Then I'll get back to the projects, finish some goods, have a clean closet, try to buy a car (Honda CRV actually), and the other 439 things that need to be done to prepare for the munchkin's birthday and our trip. :)
Due to the amount of rambling, I'm now convincing myself that I really need to go to bed. :) So, I guess I'll go to bed...and nap when Jezebel naps tomorrow...as I've been doing the past several days.
Before I sleep...a few pictures to make this rambling worth while...

That's all. :) Good night.

Joe's been staying up late working on a side project and so I've been staying up late, too. It's funny b/c there used to be a time when 1 am was a normal bedtime and something like 3 am was staying up late. Jezebel looks so big in the crib picture! I know she must really be getting big; I can't wait to see her (you and Daniel, too!).
:) I can't wait to see you either. One more month...though actually, it's a little less than a month until we come visit.
So, I put away all of her clothes today and sorted my closet and drawers. We didn't make it to the consignment shop or thrift store today, but the clothes are sorted at least. I still need to sort some of her clothes. I tossed lots of stuff. Though, I could always toss a lot more. It's hard sorting clothes. Anyway, today was a productive day. Hooray!
Yay for productivity! I'm proud of you Momma Clare. I really can't wait to see y'all. It sucks cuz kids grow so fast anyway and then when we don't get to see each other for a long time, it's like they go into hyper-growth mode. I wish we didn't all miss so much of each others lives and growing kids now. Any ideas about the party yet? Let me know. I can't wait to help with it. Kisses!!!
Um...is that snow on the ground? Where do you live??? They said we might have "snowy rainy" one day, but that was it. It's been cold, but for a few days it's been back in the 70's. Nebraska is weird.
I wish we were going to LA in a month (well, around Christmas), but Fat Baby crushed those plans. Have fun!
We took a trip to the mountains that day. The pics were taken in the Rocky Mountain National Park...which is about 40 minutes away. There hasn't been any snow in my part of Colorado yet. We live near the foothills. We can see the mountains, but aren't living all up in them. :) I live in the 6 inches of snow area...not the 6 feet. :)
It's better that Fat Baby is crushing plans rather than ribs. :)
ok. so i'm up late, too. i just spent the night moving about town looking for 1) chinese food, 2) drinks, and 3) cute girls. we've been absolutely unsuccessful on all three grounds. tragic. have you any advice for some young, somewhat attractive fellows looking for something to do at an unusual time of night? is there a community meeting place or something? thanks!
